Terms of Service

1. What Raceterrain is

Raceterrain (“we,” “us,” “the platform”) provides ticketing, gate scanning, and related event-management software to racing facilities, tracks, and similar venues (“facilities,” “you” when you operate a facility account). We are a software provider -- each facility is independently responsible for the events it lists, the tickets it sells, and its interactions with its own customers.

2. Accounts

You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when creating a facility account, and for keeping your login credentials secure. You’re responsible for the actions of any staff you invite to your account.

3. Payments

Ticket and concessions payments are processed through Stripe. By using Raceterrain to accept payments, you also agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Payouts go directly to the bank account you connect -- Raceterrain does not hold your funds. Subscription fees for the platform itself are billed separately, also through Stripe.

4. Your responsibilities as a facility

  • You’re responsible for the accuracy of your event listings, pricing, and any waivers you attach to them.
  • You’re responsible for complying with laws that apply to your events and venue -- safety, insurance, and local regulations included.
  • You set your own refund and cancellation policy for your events (see our Refund Policy for how that applies to the platform itself).
  • You’re responsible for how you collect and handle your customers’ and staff’s personal information within the tools we provide.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use Raceterrain to sell tickets to an event that doesn’t exist, to defraud buyers, to violate anyone’s rights, or to interfere with the platform’s normal operation (scraping, attempting to bypass rate limits or access controls, etc.).

6. Intellectual property

We own the Raceterrain software and platform. You own your own event content, branding, and customer data. By posting content through the platform, you grant us a license to display and process it as needed to provide the service.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The platform is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Raceterrain isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the conduct of any facility, ticket buyer, or other user. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

8. Termination

Either side can stop using/providing the service at any time. We may suspend an account for violating these terms or for suspected fraud, with notice where practical.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use Raceterrain after a change means you accept the update.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through your account’s Help & Support page.
